About Me:
Welcome to my World of Gymnastics!
Hi everyone, my name is Essence and I am a 10-year-old gymnast from Dallas, TX. I started my gymnastics journey during a class in daycare in 2017. I had so much fun that two years later my parents enrolled me in the recreational classes at ASI Gymnastics West Plano. After mastering the necessary skills, I was invited to teams Level 1 in August 2021 and in December 2021 meet season had begun. After the meet season, I switched gyms and I continued my training at Precision Gymnastics and Tumbling in April 2022. Shortly after, the decision was made in June 2022 for me to compete as a compulsory Level 3 gymnast. April 1st 2023, my parents decided it was best for me to attend Metroplex Gymnastics in Allen, Tx, and was promoted to Level 4 June 1st. I completed my Level 4 season by winning the Texas State Championship for my division, ranking in the Top 100 Gymnast in the Nation. My Level 4 season ended in Febuary 2024 at the Metroplex Challenge and I am currently a Level 5 gymnast whose looking forward to competing in my first meet in Sept 2024. I am also training for Level 7 to compete during the Spring season of 2025. Hope to see you there!
My Passion/My World!
I love gymnastics because it is fun, energetic, and you can showcase your skills and personality. My favorite event is the floor because you can tumble and do dance moves! I believe practicing at home, as well as taking private classes such as tumbling and ballet has helped me grow very fast in my gymnastic abilities!
My Goals!
I aim to become an elite gymnast, hopefully, make it to the Olympics, and attend college on a gymnastic scholarship. My favorite athlete is Simone Biles, but I also enjoy watching Suni Lee, Trinity Thomas, and Jordan Chiles
